Probably thinking about systems design and scale. Software and content person. Video game and ttrpg nerd. Design history obsessed. Former civil servant. She/her
Now that Lego puts all their instruction books out there for free, something I've been really into is looking for builds people make out of found pieces
Uh so Brickit released an app that will scan your pile of Lego and then proc a ton of builds (with instructions!) that you can make from your available pieces. This is officially the only good example of MR I've seen that I would actually use.
Just now learning that many Victorian-era radiators had built in cabinets for warming food. Can you imagine heating your house *and* smelling garlic bread at the same time
This is the sharpest movie of the Sun ever made. Even at this fine resolution, the scale is enormous; each plasma cell here is about the size of Texas. via

additional haunting information: "Saturn Devouring His Son" was discovered directly painted onto Goya's dining room wall, created in the period when Goya had lost his hearing
Okay I'm going to try to explain this, so bear with me. On Tiktok, an entire community has come together to create Ratatouille the Musical. What seemed like a joke has become an incredible undertaking. Or not? Here's how it started, with a call:
Wild how food bloggers get so much hate for "burying" their recipe when like three dudes will do a 55-min off topic intro for their 60-min podcast episode
dentist: we have a new service you can sign up for
my brain: please don't try to sell me on teeth whitening
dentist: it's free
me: oh?
*dentist points to door, a dog appears*
dentist: we have a therapy dog now
me: I WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE
Had a friend who told me a woman's best defense is acting crazy. Yesterday on my walk, a truck stopped at a light, and the driver hung out the window and made lewd gestures at me. Without thinking, I Terminator-style sprinted straight toward him. When I tell you he PANICKED
I would give anything to get absolutely wrecked off two (2) heavy-pour gin gimlets at a hotel bar during a business trip in which the importance of my presence is, at best, debateable
Hello! I turned 37 today. I have no model for being a woman of this age who is childless and plays video games and edits wiki pages for fun and doesn't have long-term goals aside from having an excellent time on Earth. But if this is also you, we can be each others' models ๐
Feeling kind of thankful to grow up in an era where dance trends were stupidly basic and built for being buzzed at weddings (electric slide, macarena). Feeling bad for today's kidsโrenegade requires *rehearsal*
I'm watching Space Ghost Coast to Coast for the first time since like 1996, and obviously this show was not for sober people, but there are several lines that kill me. For example, Zorak just said, โHey....every time I move my arm, it costs the Cartoon Network 42 bucksโ
every Bugs cartoon is worth looking at frame-by-frame, but the mid 1940s Bugs, mostly thanks to Bob McKimson's influence, got so toothy and I love scrubbing frames in this era so much to catch expressions like this
This is the highlight of "Bugs Bunny Rides Again" (1948), where brilliant animation is matched perfectly to the William Tell Overture. Makes what would've already been an entertaining chase scene all the more fun.
hi this is just one of many facts you could pull but in the U.S., black women are 2 to 6 times more likely to die from complications of pregnancy than white women, depending on where they live, in large part due to not being taken as seriously by nurses.
Maybe the best Space Jam fact is that Chuck Jones said he hated the movie, and his reasoning was because Bugs Bunny never would've recruited help and that he would've taken care of the problem in 10 minutes, not an hour and a half.
I'm going through a 1983 issues of Electronic Fun magazine and some art director doubled down on extruded lettering and I love them for it. Starts off great and gets more and more unhinged
Basically overnight, online design research changed so that every image you find requires an additional 10 - 15 minutes to confirm it was AI-generated. Even if you're 99% sure it's AI, confirming the original source takes digging through forums and personal websites.
In all seriousness, the Ratatouille musical has been an incredible outlet and source of joy for theater students, who are living through the worst time in their industry's history.
