Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official int'l humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic community. We assist people in need in more than 100 countries.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that four members of our staff were killed in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash yesterday. They lived lives in service to the world’s poor, despite the risks that humanitarian work can often entail.
It is a difficult day as we mourn the loss of two staff members, Chuol Tongyik and Amare Kindeya, who were killed in Ethiopia while returning from an assignment. Please keep Chuol & Amare, their families & our staff in your prayers at this difficult time.
Kateri Tekakwitha, informally known as “Lily of the Mohawks,” was the first

Our hearts weigh heavy today. CRS' longtime contract photographer, Mohamed Reefi, was killed in Gaza City while waiting with other Gazan civilians for food aid to arrive. We are devastated.
