Carmarthen Quins Committee have met and as the game in Wales at all levels is facing significant pressures and problems we have unanimously decided to vote for the proposals at Sundays WRU EGM. A new strategic direction and governance structure is needed as soon as possible.
What an afternoon and we couldn’t be prouder of Kieran Hardy. Represented us in many games and showed his skills with a well taken try and almost made it two. As a club we are proud to have been part of your development. It’s a shame our mini and juniors can’t play tomorrow
One of our Under 15s is missing and his parents are besides themselves. If yiu have any information or sightings please message so we can pass on to his parents. Please share. Rhys Furlong his his name.
All at the club are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Former seconds team player Mel Evans. Our condolences go to wife Claire and children Charlie and Freddie. Mel was a larger than life character who would do anything for anyone and will be sorely missed.
Just for clarity Ken Owens has played five games for the Quins and is a Carmarthen Boy but his allegiances are very much with our friends
@CarmAthletic
. But looking forward to welcoming your Amman Utd side tomorrow
@ShaneWilliams11
Today both teams observed a minutes silence for Peter Thomas who has put so much into rugby. Our thoughts are with Peters family and friends at this time

The Club can confirm that the reference in the twitter feed to the Quins is not Carmarthen RFC. The individual concerned is not a member nor is he known to the club. More importantly Carmarthen RFC does not condone the comment or any behaviour of this nature.
New signing and New Captain. Welcome Tom Phillips who also takes on the Captains role for the coming season. Massive thanks to Lee Taylor who has led the team the last two seasons

The club has two tickets for Wales v Fiji this Sunday. We would like to give them to a key worker as a thank you for the work they have done over the past 20 months or so. If you want to nominate someone to receive these tickets please send us private message by 8pm Friday
Great to see two players developed through our mini and juniors rewarded with renewed professional contracts. Development is key for us as a club and we always look to develop players for whatever level of rugby.

The club would like to pass on its sincere condolences to current coach Richard Hardy on the loss of his father. Also to Richards son and former player Kieran who loses a grandfather. You’re in the thoughts of all at the club at this sad time.
As a club we are extremely supportive of the comments of the Scarlets and others on this issue and we as a club reaffirm our commitment to make rugby a safe and fair place for everyone.
The BBC Wales investigation into allegations of discrimination and misogyny at the Welsh Rugby Union is a reminder for everyone involved in rugby that our game has to drive out misogyny or discrimination of any kind.

With all the debate out there on the Premiership reform, it’s with some pride that we can quote the Scarlets regional chairman with these comments. Proud to play a small part ⚫️😎🔴
The club would like to wish Scott Lloyd all the best as he relocates to Northampton. Scott has been brilliant for us over four years and all at the club would like to wish him well for the future.
This extremely sad and worrying news. Brian and his family have supported all sections of our club along with many many other community teams and organisations over many years.
We sadly announce that we are the latest business in the hospitality sector to enter consultation with our valued staff as a result of a downturn in sales due to COVID-19. We must act to ensure that we remain key partner to our customers in the long term
Congratulations to first team squad players
@jacpriceyy
@osianknott5
