On 5th May, one of our club members informed the Northstowe developers, South Cambs District council, the RSPB Species protection team and the local Police wildlife crimes officer of potential disturbance 1/7
Plenty of geese on offer. On the Ouse Washes at Earith, 8 White-fronted Geese found yesterday were joined today by 2 Pink-footed. A flock of 56 Barnacle Geese remain at Sutton Fen North.
The long staying female Ferruginous Duck of unknown origin added Longstanton to the list of sites it's visited. Present there since Friday. Now into its 7 month in the county
Good views of the female FERRUGINOUS DUCK through the reeds at Longstanton, Cambs this afternoon. A tour of some Gull sites around Cambridge failed to produce anything interesting.

Fowlmere today: 2CY Iceland Gull with 500 Lesser-black backed gulls in field being ploughed on east side of Fowlmere rspb reserve from 15,15 until it flew off north-west at 16.04. Also Raven over the reserve. (Ade Cooper)

Difficult conditions trying to find Red-necked Grebe at Hambleton so over the border into Cambs at Maxey Pits. Good directions on RB 👌 Excellent first views of a lifer for me. Also Green Woodpecker, Goldcrest and Bullfinch. A low mileage day too
