album cover might just look like a simple side profile pic to you.. but the thoughts behind the photo, where it was taken, how it was taken and the idea behind it, needs a whole documentary. Put thought behind your art. 🥢
Record labels need to fear God when putting together a record deal for artists especially youngins… bruh are you the devil? This is a business not slavery.
Signing a record deal in Naija is only sweet the day you pen down the deal and the day you take photos and do press release... after that na vibes and Inshaallah..
You tell someone or a corporation about a sure talent and they sleep on it.. but the moment there’s a lil buzz on that talent they come begging and blowing up your damn phone… it’s sad you couldn’t see the vision.. I’m sorry but I don’t work with unbelievers. 🚀
When you send someone your music for review and they aren’t impressed and tell you you aren’t gonna make it… I hope you understand they are judging you by the standards you currently present. If you improve and become successful later… you still can’t fault them 😂.
I’ve come again😂… but seriously.. there’s a mentality that needs to be checked and ended. If someone signs you as their artist .. they aren’t doing you a favour… you are engaging In business with them, that’s what it is…
Part of what being a music producer is, is reassuring your artist, let them know when they do well on a beat or not… even blown Artists need reassurance sometimes. You can’t just be a yes man. 🥢
Men dem… Eat healthy… *again* stay away from drugs na set up, take good care of your body… you go hustle all this hustle con still use drugs finish yourself?
Imagine the next president does worse than this then y’all start wishing Bu was back in power 🤣🤣🤣 Omo.. that’s what happens when you go from bad to worse. It’s happened before. By then dollar fit be like 2k to naira.
As an artist or creative in the entertainment industry you really have to know what/who you are… what story it is you are telling, if not ..the wrong management or team will press you into another talent’s mold all in the name of making you marketable…
I’ve encountered a lot of people who want to take up music as a side career, and my advice was always “it won’t be easy”. You can’t serve two masters at a time. You have to either give up your current career for music or you just give up music. Music requires 1000% attention.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame has introduced visa-free travel for all Africans. Rwanda is now the fourth African country to do so, along with Seychelles, The Gambia and Benin. Kenya announced similar plans to drop visa demands for Africans from 2024.
Slow and steady… enjoy every step of the journey. This life is not a race… if you are running a race, who put you up to it? What do you get when you win? Take it easy o. 🕊️🤍🥢
young artists need to feature/collab with each other more… sometimes that A list feature you are looking for will do you more harm than good if you aren’t well established or developed.
The average Nigerian just needs to travel… and your eyes will open. You don’t even have to go far.. just go to neighbouring African countries. You will come back and be ready for real change.
Many men no wan do the work… the hard work it takes to get you to where you need to be… it’s not nice… it’s not jolly… it’s frustrating and stressful as fuck.. but them no go tell you truth. “If e easy na set up”…
50 years from now… we will be legends. We will be referred to as the great ones. Our children will be sons and daughters of great men, Our works will be studied.
Every artist is unique in their own way… you don’t have to copy the next man’s formula…just gotta stay true and pure to your art and let it grow with you as you develop yourself.
