I don't know how anyone can defend Bungie after reading that.
It was horribly out of touch. All it did was confirm the community's worst fears about the direction of the game.
I really believe the Destiny 2 we knew and loved is gone. We are left with a moneymaker, nothing more.

It definitely feels like the Destiny 2 community has reached its breaking point.
This clip, alongside the Aztecross microtransactions video, is proof that Bungie has pushed us to the absolute limit of what we can tolerate. I wholeheartedly agree with everything both Jake and…
Losing a flawless game for the 3rd time to these cheaters HURTS. I'm passionately angry in this clip, and may go over the top a bit, but I still think this needs to be said.
I may burn bridges by posting this, which is not my goal, but I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.

I can't be the only one who thinks hiding replies to this tweet, the majority of which are from the Latin/o/a community speaking out against the use of the word "Latinx", is a REALLY poor reaction from Bungie. Listen to the people you were trying to highlight, don't silence them.
Being Latin/a/e/o/x is more than just a location on a map, just as being Hispanic is more than the language we might speak.
We are proud to introduce our newest IDEA, Latin @ Bungie:
Today marks the beginning of the end for Destiny 2.
Even if it isn't dead yet, we've lost many of the people who contributed so much towards making it special. It feels like the soul of the game has been ripped out.
I fear the Destiny franchise we fell in love with is no more.
If Bungie ever does start banning Xim/Cronus users, keep an eye out for anyone who conveniently "takes a break" from Destiny 2 when it happens.
We know what you are.
TIL that Guardian Ranks reset every season, and now I have little/no motivation to grind them.
I thought they were supposed to represent your experiences and expertise over your lifetime of Destiny 2, not on a season to season basis. Seals I get because of gilding, but not this.
Confirmation that The Final Shape campaign will release finished and complete. That it will NOT rely on the seasons that follow to tell a story. We're talking about the end of a 10 year saga, I don't want it drip feeding to me over a year. I want a good fucking story at launch...
The TWID will return next week with new updates from the Crucible Strike Team. Today, we have an update to the community from the Destiny 2 Development Team:
A moment that is 282 days in the making, I have acquired my 5/5 roll.
This really does mean no more daily Eyasluna tweets. End of an era...
I can rest now. Welcome home, son.
This is what I call peak xbox party chat content, you don't get better than this... iconic 😂
Quite long I know but believe me it's worth it. Second part coming soon as Twitter couldn't fit the whole thing in one... Enjoy!
(Much love to
@_Oljve
for the edit)

I know if I was a *former* employee of Bungie, the last thing I would want to see is a tweet like this from yourself. It's very tone deaf and feels like a slap in the face to anyone impacted by the layoffs. Why praise them now? The damage is done, and you are largely responsible.
How bad do the servers have to be before we're eligible to some sort of compensation as players? Just some free bright dust/silver would be appreciated. There are plenty of games that offer something if there's constant disruption because of downtime. Destiny 2 should follow suit
After trying various builds in both PvP and PvE, I have come to the following conclusion:
Armour 2.0 is not progression. It is regression.
If the goal was simplification, that has been achieved. Alas, the problem is that it is oversimplified. Buildcrafting now feels uninspired.
I'm a fan of Shroud, and I have a lot of respect for his PvP opinions. But I disagree with this one. While I am not opposed to a 'barebones' style labs mode with a focus on gunplay, I think what he is suggesting here would essentially kill the "identity" of Destiny 2.
The…
The State of the Game feels like a final nail in the coffin for the future of Destiny 2.
Even if the Showcase does deliver + hype returns for The Final Shape, we now know fundamental changes and content the community wants aren't happening.
The core of the game is a lost cause.
I was debating whether or not I should tweet this, but fuck it here it is. Don't read it if you don't want to, but I wanted to get this off my chest and I couldn't fit it all into one tweet. Enough is enough:
This D2 glitch might be game-breaking, but it isn't worth getting angry over it. Either embrace the chaos until it's resolved or just don't play.
Don't be acting like you're on some moral high ground just cos you're playing without using the glitch. It's a video game, who cares.
Morning, Guardians! We missed some patch notes this week.
Here's an update 🧵
1. When Ashes to Assets and Hands On are equipped, players will only receive Super energy from one of the mods, not both.
EMBLEM GIVEAWAY:
Courtesy of Bungie I am giving away TEN 'Scientia Illuminata' emblem codes for Destiny 2.
To enter simply FOLLOW ME + RETWEET THIS TWEET.
Winners will be drawn + messaged one week from now, good luck to you all. Big thanks to
@Bungie
for supplying the codes 💙
This exploit and its popularity tell us two things:
1. The legendary shard economy sucks
2. Players want to obtain more loot, but they can't
If Bungie could use this and improve the "looter" aspect of Destiny 2 and the economy that comes with that, it would be much appreciated
We're less than one week away from a new season in Destiny 2, yet there's no sense of excitement or anticipation from the community. That's sad. The secretive approach to seasonal content has become tiresome. I would rather have information and marketing designed to get us hyped.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, maybe not. I know we give Bungie a hard time regarding communication, but I think we are quite lucky to get what we do. Things like the TWAB, detailed patch notes, and explanations for decisions go a long way. Compared to some AAA games, we do alright.
Why is there PvE drama over a reaction to a pretty incredible accomplishment? Who fucking cares how he chose to react? Let the man be happy and enjoy his moment.
Disappointed but not surprised. I'm already seeing some "But will it have good loot?" type responses to the special mission releasing tomorrow. Bungie made it to honour the memory of a former colleague and friend. Please get some perspective. The loot couldn't be more irrelevant.
Not to be too blunt, but the removal of airborne effectiveness from Destiny 2 would immediately and drastically improve the overall state of the game.
It's THAT significant.
Xim/Cronus is cheating and should be treated as such.
Bungie needs to have systems in place to detect them, with usage against ToS. You should be punished accordingly if caught.
They are not primarily used for accessibility purposes. They are abused to gain an unfair advantage.
