I love seeing Black characters who have healthy White friends. It's very common to find White people who try to make us their token Black yes-men. Media that gives us our own agency & lets us be cool on our own terms make these friendships all the more respectable & believable.

During a studio session, I was told about a Black trans character and I was asked (uncomfortably) if I wanted to play her. Straight up, I said no, and did one better: I recommended a list of Black trans actresses, and one of them rightfully got the role. You CAN just say NO!

As much as I’d love to work on more anime in 2022 onward, I’d LOVE to also work on more original 2D animations, whether by freelance animators or studios, maybe even networks🙏🏾💜 Something about seeing how your voice is animated while hearing it back gets me so jovial!

Toxic voice actors getting replaced is quite the firsthand experience to show just how mid they actually were the whole time when compared to a better actor. Clout shouldn’t be encouragement for misconduct, unless you want your peers to show just how replaceable you really are.

Putting this in it's own tweet: REMOTE RECORDING FOR CHRONICALLY ILL/DISABLED ACTORS!!! People who need to put more money towards their health, stability and general comfort shouldn't have to be forced to migrate from their support system for the CHANCE of work.

There is nothing that stings more as a Black/Dark-skinned actor wanting to work in JRPGs than your opportunities being limited to the RARE instances of Black/Dark-skinned characters OR animals/monsters/aliens. We can voice light-skinned human heroes in these games too.

Been seeing this eat minds, so just saying: Not getting cast in anime dubs doesn’t mean you lack skill. Anime is NOT the end all be all for your career. MANY amazing actors work outside of ADR. Besides, pre-lay animation, video games, commercials, etc. are awesome too!
