Jomi told me that in Grade 10 she wrote a poem, “Just A Young Black Girl”. Fast forward 2 years, now recent high school graduate, Jomi Oyediran, published her poetry book, “Blooming – My Way to Becoming”. Miss Jomi, congrats on your Book Launch & your scholarship from @HowardU .

Saddened to hear of the attack that took place yesterday @UWaterloo , but not surprised. Hate exists in our communities and it must be condemned in all forms. Violence should have no place in 🇨🇦. We all have a role to play. Our hearts go out to those injured and all impacted.
