Exactly, Punjabi has several dialects, but that doesn’t mean each are separate languages. From my discussion with these people it seems that want to claim that there is no Punjabi even, all is Seraiki lol.

for atleast trying to teach someone with no desire to learn, dialects don’t make language Saraiki, pothohari, Jhangvi all are Punjabi dialects not separate languages….
Not true I’m afraid. Seraiki is a very modern construct and is completely ahistorical.

English as around 160 or so , dialects and is considered a Rich language Punjabi has around 30-35 ..it too is a rich language..the more the dialects the richer a language is unfortunelty , Punjab , Punjabi, Punjabiyat its history and culture were buried under TNT post 47

History of Multan and Multani language that is now known as saraiki is older than Punjabi language.
