@BadSocialism
We really got spoiled in the 90s right after cgi where they were like "we have all these models AND can composite them in real easy! Every ship there's ever been in the biggest battles ya!"
@BadSocialism
Also a lot of those very old ships got massively fucked up during multiple conflicts, they canโt keep patching them back up and expecting them to run fine.
@BadSocialism
Yeah, ideally the correct balance is somewhere between a fleet of thousands of identical new ships and a fleet of familiar ships many of which should have been retired.
Where was the Inquiry class anyway?
@BadSocialism
I am once again asking Trekkies to consider talking about anything other than the technology because THATโS NOT THE POINT OF THESE STORIES ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
@BadSocialism
I havenโt seen the ships in Picard yet but I know Thomas and Hector helped out designing them ergo I already love them because Thomas and Hector does an amazing job
@BadSocialism
And before anyone wants to argue as well... where's the original Enterprise? Junked. They built Enterprise D all new and didn't add things for a refit from the one prior. ๐
@BadSocialism
It actually always bugged me you didn't see more TNG era designed ships like the Cheyenne. You see blurry images in Best of Both Worlds, and the Nebula class ship. That's it.
@BadSocialism
Is it the Trekkies fault though? We didn't make the show.
I think more trekkies think the Excelsior should be decommissioned than think it should still be active.
