You likely know Allie Beth Stuckey recently decided to take on the Trad Life movement. In the course of doing so she waved several red flags.
We're going to get into it and explain why this is more important than a passing social media controversy.
You're all wondering what the long term ramifications of the border dust up is going to be.
Sounds like a great day to hear from Charles Haywood (
@TheWorthyHouse
)!
Live in your podcast app right now:
There's been a lot of brand politics and personality turf wars involved in the George Gilder discussion.
Why not let's talk about what the man wrote and what he meant by it?
Heads up: Got a new episode coming in the morning, Lord willing.
We're excited about this one - talking to
@TheWorthyHouse
about a whole spectrum of topics.
Check your podcast feed in the morning.
Sorry for the late notice but got a new episode for you in the morning.
We're talking to
@DMichaelClary
about his
@AmReformer
piece "Scorning our Forefathers" + his book "God's Good Design."
Incredible stuff. Check your podcast app in the morning.
Good Morning!
We had a great time with
@ADRoblesMedia
talking about taking a cheerful approach to the madness. We also get into how to avoid blackpills, whether or not anger can be part of the program, and why it's important to just have fun!
Tune in!

Life in The Objective Room

The question? is there a path forward for faithful Christians facing the capitulation of even our 'conservative' leaders and institutions?
The answer? A little bit of Backwoods Belief.
Trying to live faithfully in difficult times? You better start paying attention to conspiracy theories.

It's here!
The newest episode of Backwoods Belief: We discuss Jonathan Cahn's Return of the Gods and how Pride is becoming America's new National Identity and what faithful Christians can do living under these circumstances.
Why does it seem like every institution inevitably drifts to the left?
How can we protect our families, churches, and other institutions from that drift?
Today, we're talking about Institutional Bravery.
Does a transgendered fallen angel rule the western world?
Find out on the next Backwoods Belief when
@bendellwerry
and
@merelyjwright
discuss Jonathan Cahn's 'Return of the gods'.
There's a new episode in your podcast app this morning, finishing up our short series on Misunderstanding That Hideous Strength with Gavin Ortlund.
Included: Maybe C.S. Lewis' most culturally unfashionable passage (Hint: it concerns Jane).
Wonder what Made to Order Men acting as betrayers w/in the church sound like? Listen to this 👇in full

What does it sound like when
@Acts29
removes your church from membership in the network? Glad you asked. In my latest episode, we include the audio of the phone call where they kicked out our church.

MAJOR RETRACTION: Murder on Music Row is sung by Alan Jackson and George Strait NOT George Jones.
@bendellwerry
deeply regrets this error and we will be re-evaluating our relationship with him. We ask that you please respect his privacy during this ordeal.
What a great day for our episode with
@DMichaelClary
to come out.
Panter represents all that is wrong in parastic, self-loathing, forefather-despising institutional evangelicalism.
These guys are dinosaurs & faithful Christians need to help shuffle them onto the fringe ASAP.
@BaptistLeaders
@William_E_Wolfe
@rhett_burns
This article is interesting and telling. So you guys want to divert NAMB mission dollars and resources to Appalachia and Southern dying churches in order to build your twisted version of a renewed Christendom?
A negative response to the show cites our paltry research into Gilder's actual contributions.
That's true.
The show wasn't a referendum on Gilder as a man, or on his life as a whole. We discussed the foundation on which he builds his thesis in Men and Marriage.
New Episode, Bracing Reality: It appears God is Frustrating Alliances.
What does that mean? What do we do in these circumstances?
Hit play & we'll talk it over.
The goal is not to have a homestead in Rural America, to “get away from people”, or be “completely independent”, or “opt out of society”. The goal is to become rooted in place/community; to have a home; to be codependent with your neighbors
One embodies pride; the other, Humilty
We've been on a mini-break due to scheduling conflict but we will be back soon!
In anticipation of our next topic:
Who among our audience knows where the term "conspiracy theory" originated?
New episode tomorrow.
Can we build (or keep) institutions - like families, churches, schools - from moving leftward over time?
We'll make a run at answering the question.
In this episode of Theology Applied, the co-hosts of Backwoods Belief join the show to discuss the hatred of Evangelical elites towards the average Christian in the pew.
@BackwoodsBelief

@bendellwerry

@MerelyJWright
This guy features pretty prominently in tomorrow's episode of Backwoods Belief, representing a particular species of evangelical parasite.
We'll help you learn one critical sign of infestation.
Talk to you soon.
Episode coming on Monday where we delve into the substance of the disagreement over Gilder’s book.
Leave the brand politics and the scoldings about boomers and short pants aside - what is actually objectionable in Gilder’s work?
The degree of doctrinal corruption in
@Acts29
, wedded to corrupt ethics and feminine men in leadership and shady organizational & financial practices will be shocking to anyone who hasn't been paying attention to A29 in recent years, assuming they were still healthy.
(2/)
Wild to hear the guys on
@blurrycreatures
& Tim Alberino act like the reality of UFO technology some how does away with the Aliens are Demons hypothesis (which, ftr, remains the most obvious conclusion).
(1/)
The reality is they took in the leaven of wokeness, that led (as it always does) to further compromise, and now A29 should be shuttered.
God forbid it that these... men... ever have a hand in planting another church.
(3/3)
Gotta get involved in this one.
And the episode he mentions at the end? Goes live in the morning.
Really hoping y'all will listen & let us know what you think.
The Air Force posting Airmen saluting the Pride Flag and the White House hanging the Pride Flag in superior position to the U.S. Flag got you freaked out?
This is the best response you can choose right now. Seriously.

Nevertheless, I have this against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.
@BackwoodsBelief
@dmichaelclary
@AmReformer
Crying at work rn so thanks for that.
My Grandfather the faithful Calvinist Baptist pastor taught me so so much. And as a younger man I was such an ungrateful piece of crap. To disrespect him because he wasn't reformed enough or because he used the KJV, was so evil of me.
Can you cultivate a family, church, or other institution that is conservative *and* doesn't drift leftward over time?
Check your podcast app or stream here:
Evangelicals don't have a problem with elites.
So long as they're actually ELITE.
But as Jeff Wright
@merelyjwright
from
@backwoodsbelief
observes, American evangelicalism has been saddled with pretty sellouts and butt-kissers.
Meanwhile, believers have been left behind.
If you've ever had even passing contact with The Abolition of Man, Perelandra, or That Hideous Strength you know Lewis would see "wife and father" as a horror akin to a Lovecraftian nightmare.
He'd probably also say, "Well, I was afraid we might get here at some point."

We take no joy in having our theory that God is actively frustrating alliances demonstrated in such high-profile fashion but if you want to know more about why this 👇 is happening you can find it here:
More on this soon I suspect but two things I'd encourage my friends on here to watch out for:
1. Safe to be Based Now - These guys feel the winds shifting and are *super* based, after sitting out the fight that got us here (on the woke bench) & w/o making any break...

Real talk: It seemed likely that eventually Backwoods Belief would kick off some kind of controversy.
That it would be Sheetz vs. Wawa really came out of left field tho.
A Christian electrician and business owner charges liberal customers 20% more than conservative customers. His reasoning: “Their decisions are ruining our country. I tax them because they are hurting my business.” If you were his pastor, ethically speaking, is this ok or not ok?
Just a heads up: Editing this week's episode was a bit of a challenge (because we tried something new) but it is now ready.
Look for it bright and early in the morning.
Thanks! And here's a small preview:
I have no interest in litigating Gilder's entire career. I am interested in the specific premises and the conclusions which he draws from those premises in his book, we examined them and found them wanting.
Kirk is exactly right.
And if you have an appetite for off-the-beaten path analysis from a Christian worldview you can find exactly why this is happening in our most recent episode:
If Juneteenth was really about emancipation, why not...
September 22, 1862 when Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation?
Or January 1, 1863 when the Proclamation took effect?
Or December 18th, 1865 with the ratification of the 13th Amendment?
Because it's not about…

The pastorate is a masculine office. Here’s why.
Pastors who speak the truth of scripture boldly are putting themselves in harm’s way for the sake of God's people. Godly pastors run towards this danger, not away from it, because that’s how you protect the sheep.
A faithful…

In the podcast listed above we discuss a few cinstances where Allie teaches the Bible to her listeners.
As I recall, in one instance, she does so in order to prove women should not teach the Bible.
I finished the trilogy yesterday and it was🤯🤯.
The thing that sticks out to me the most is how many evangelical marriages are very similar to Jane and Mark’s, specifically in terms of fertility. Why do so few evangelical Christians have large families? 🧵🧵

I found the sermon that was mentioned in one of your episodes 10shekles and a shirt. Oh my Convicted,Blessed, Inspired, all are words id describe the sermon. Required listening for faithful Christians.
