After 3 years at
@Tesla
leading the design system team, I unfortunately was part of the layoffs this week.
I am open to new opportunities in design systems or design engineering roles.
Please reach out with any relevant opportunities!
I am hiring a talented UX designer to join the
@Tesla
Design System team!
We are a team that impacts the entire Tesla ecosystem and are in need of someone who lives and breathes design systems.
If you're interested, lets chat!
Thank you to everyone for the support today on the new site for
@TheMob
! I'm super happy with how it turned out.
I will post a mini case study in the next week to talk a bit more about the process behind the whole thing.
After 4 years at HP, it is time for my next step. I am so proud of what we accomplished over these years and I will miss my team dearly.
I will be moving to Tesla to work on their design system! This role is something I have always dreamt of, and I can't believe it is a reality.
Spent a few days designing and coding a new site for
@100Thieves
..
If you think they should use this or you like the way it looks, tweet
@Nadeshot
and retweet this!
Since it is
#PortfolioDay
I thought I'd share the current state of my new portfolio!
My name is Austin, I am a UX Designer with years of experience! Always looking for the right client to design and build a website for.. check out my portfolio:
@larkolopez
@PaulHembo
DJ had over 1000 receiving yards I think.
It’s more impressive to me that he got these numbers when the opposing teams knew he was getting the ball most of the time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Wrote a lot more code in 2020 than in previous years, most of it for
@papercrowns
!
It's been a huge year of growth for me as a developer, and I still have a long way to go. Learning SwiftUI this year was also a high point. 🤓 Onwards!

@DallasEmpire
the timing of this tweet feels like it’s trying to get at the Huntsmen for their smaller prize pool.. but in reality they have less teams in their tournament and are charging less for passes, so their prize pool is actually a larger % of the overall pass revenue

@bruvvvvv
@darrenrovell
lol they did not get caught doing anything that everyone else doesn't do.
slowing down a processor to maintain battery life throughout a product's lifespan is a common practice.
I would have never been prepared for a role like this without my team members at HP.
I have grown tremendously as a designer, young professional, and especially as a person under their guidance. It was a pleasure to work with them and I am blessed to call them my friends.

@PatMcAfeeShow
man this is the only explanation I can think of. Myles is literally the best guy I can think of. This is so far out of his character

The "CDL Bracket Builder" offers fans the ability to crown their top pro teams, while its leaderboard system keeps track of season scores so users can share picks for ultimate bragging rights. Thank you to everyone who participated this year!
@Icefisher10
@FellowshipFans
You are totally right about original characters! I never thought about it like that but it’s true.
I’m not worried about any of the characters that I know will survive, so original characters are needed in some ways to raise the stakes
@DannPetty
Hey Dann! I'd love it if you or your followers could give me some feedback on my portfolio. I'm going to be applying to internships in the next couple of weeks!
Couldn’t agree more!
While design systems massively appreciate contribution, it is apples and oranges compared to the work that the dedicated design system team does
✨Using✨ a design system or ✨contributing ✨to a design system are not even close to actually building and maintaining a design system.
Please, don’t say you’ve “worked on [company]’s design system” if you’ve only done the prior. It’s incredibly misleading.
@pwnies
@figma
Will the side by side make determining if there are breaking changes easier?
e.g. showing the label on the current will not persist to the updated?
If so, that will be huge for our consumers confidence in accepting updates!
Does anyone know why UX (see also: UX/UI, UX + UI) Designers don’t want to be called “Software Designers”?
We have “Software Engineers” and it makes perfect sense.. why not say the same for designers?

The partnership continued in the biggest of ways with Call of Duty Championships. Crowns carried the "Build Your Bracket" system into Champs weekend giving 1 lucky fan a chance to win $100K with the Perfect Bracket feature.
@hutchinson
I’m super impressed that he’s using his platform like this. He stays out of things like this typically but it’s great to see him taking a stand. It’s huge for today’s youth to hear.
