ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰ. ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਖੇਤੀ ਟਿਊਬਵੈੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਰ ਊਰਜਾ ਉਤੇ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 200 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਬਚਣਗੇ, ਜੋ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਉਤੇ ਖਰਚੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ 25000 ਮੋਟਰਾਂ ਲਈ 54 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਦਾ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।
