A DGCA official told The Hindu that IndiGo has asked its pilots to carry out Flap 3 landing every time to save some amount of fuel. The airline told pilots that a Flap 3 landing saves 6 Kg of fuel wrt Flap 4 landing. This is not in line with Airbus Flight Crew Operating Manual.
