Let’s start w/ @LDozierSHRA Ex Dir. of @shra_pio - a class act, housing guru, Mom & phenomenal boss. Her agency equity & diversity a near perfect match to the region served. Her budget at 190 mil supports over 50,000 people in affordable housing in @TheCityofSac & @SacCountyCA

Day 2 so impressed by the leadership of @officialSCUSD trustee @maiyangvang she works hard for @TheCityofSac Councilmember @LarryCarrD8 and for the education of students in Sac City schools. An incredible sister and daughter, this one is a high achiever doing big things.

Day 3 the incredible @Rivkah Sass, @TheCityofSac lead librarian. This woman is a genius. She builds community, creates space for all, finds a way and never stops smiling. She’s a game changer who loves with a heart wide open. A mom, boss, friend & leader. Rivkah makes us better.

Day 4 celebrating exceptional women in Sacramento. Today’s game changer is an obvious choice as we wait to see if her ❤️ letter to @TheCityofSac earns her the 2nd Oscar ever given to a female director. #GretaGerwig is a hero & on this day all of Sacramento stands with her.

Day 5 @CeciliaAD4 Cecilia Aguiar-Curry the Assemblywoman for Yolo & Napa Counties. The former Mayor of Winters, she is a Latina, farmer, Mom and proud Grandma. She is strong, confident and a leader of leaders. A true role model. Cecilia is a champion for women & for @california

Day 6 @rachelharmony Rachel Minnick of @ReadingPartners is a community champion, literacy warrior & proud Sacramentan. She selflessly serves those most in need, creating pathways to improved lives through education, love and support. Rachel is a hero. She makes us better.

Day 7 the incredible Michele Brown Steeb, Executive Director of @SaintJohnsPRC serving homeless women and children. Michele is a fearless warrior for the hearts of those facing all kinds of challenges like addiction, mental health and domestic violence. She is a difference maker.

Day 8 & #InternationalWomensDay my personal sHero, Betsy Marchand, 1st woman elected to Yolo County. Full of grace, brilliant & fearless - she blazed a trail for women like me who want to serve too. She led for 24 years before retiring & is still a force to be reckoned with.

Day 9 @RuthieBolton525 is a 2 time @TeamUSA gold medalist and a @WNBA champion, MVP & all-star. Ruthie is a survivor of domestic violence who has found herself. She now uses her many gifts to help girls step into strength & confidence. She is a profound & powerful hero.

Day 10 the brave women of @TheCityofSac Fire Dept. These ladies (not all are in the photo) risk their lives to keep us safe. We need more women in fire services, but today is a great moment to celebrate these courageous women who are blazing a trail for the women who will follow.

Day 11 a tribe is an important component to women supporting women. This brilliant lady is a cornerstone to that philosophy, living it out daily. She is an encourager & a friend. She is a Sacramento rockstar. @mmsstrategies #Michelle Smira

Day 12, firsts are important, they serve as inspiration to nexts. Sabrina Briggs of @SacPolice is the first black female to be promoted to Sargent in @TheCityofSac . Little girls everywhere see in her their own potential. It takes courage to go first, to be brave & drive progress.

Day 13 in celebrating amazing women, this one is a personal hero of mine, #VinceneJones is a force of nature. She spent her career in service @TheCityofSac & we are a better city because of her hard work. A community guru and Sacramento champion. This lady is the real deal.

Day 14 part of our job as adults is to lead, encourage, inspire, protect & provide opportunities for the next generation. Sometimes the roles are reversed. Today I celebrate Saja, Isabel, Zoe & Lea. The young women who organized 1100 students participating in a peaceful protest.

Day 15 impossible to think of a woman in @TheCityofSac with a bigger ❤️ than my friend @SisterLibby - how one person can love so many is truly a miracle. She stretches her arms around our city & constantly finds ways to show mercy & grace to everyone she encounters.

Day 16 - a woman w/ a tough job who handles it well. @schubertforDA #AnneMarie is a fighter for literacy @ReadingPartners & programs to address & prevent sex trafficking @cityofrefugesac She’s an amazing Mom & a tough prosecutor w/ a ❤️ for @TheCityofSac #GreatPartner #Shero

Day 17 not possible to celebrate incredible women in @TheCityofSac without including @MulvaneysBL #BobbinMulvaney . She is a survivor & a woman who lifts other women up. She is beautiful, brilliant & bold. She inspires. We are fortunate to have her in our city. ☘️

Day 18 another woman who blazes trails - @kittykfbk #KittyONeal giving women a voice on news radio in our region for many years, she is a red carpet walker, a champion for animal shelters, a talented musician & as kind as she is beautiful. Kitty is an @TheCityofSac legend.
