I was so ashamed about having stacked on more than 20kg during COVID that I almost didn’t go to last year’s Melbourne Cup…despite having a runner. Six months later, following drastic medical intervention, I’ve lost nearly as much weight as Great House carried in the Cup! 😂

Just saw this Gordon Elliott picture. It is as bad as it gets. No wonder many think that racing folks have no respect for the horse. Even if 99% do, the 1% perpetuate the image of an uncaring, unfeeling racing industry. Sickening.
