I am overjoyed that Somaliland will become an oil producing country by 2024. Drilling will start in the fourth quarter of 2023. The people of Somaliland are grateful for Taiwan's substantial investment in oil. I am confident that Taiwan will soon invest in many more fields.

The final phase of Berbera Port expansion is about to finish - a 1,200-foot berth - an extra space to boost the port's containerized cargo capacity to 500,000 TEU per year. The project is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2021. International investors are welcomed.

Had a very fruitful meeting with Chairman, James Huang of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in his office. In our discussion, we focused on trade and investment cooperation between #Somaliland and #Taiwan . #TAITRA has offices in more than 40 countries.
