Day two on the slopes complete! It’s been looooong blue runs, chair lift, button lift and skiing backwards kind of day! For a couple of our advanced skiers it’s been long reds, speedy turns and a let’s push you over (as they don’t tend to fall over) kind of day!

It hasn't stopped snowing - 1 metre overnight and still falling!🌨🌨🌨 Pupils skiing knee deep in powder snow. So proud of the determination shown by all pupils in some difficult conditions.
A huge congratulations to Morrigan in Y11 on winning NASUWT Arts & Minds 2019 Competition. Her picture "Tear Away the Face of Racism" came first out of hundreds of entries. We are very proud of her and her achievement. Well done Morrigan!

Congratulations Mark in Y11 who took the title of Young Charity Ambassador of the Year 2019 at the North West Charity Awards. Over 18 months he's volunteered at Breaking Barriers North West working with children with autism or social communication difficulties. We are very proud!

Day 6 and our final day on the slopes complete! We are proud to say we have 39 students coming home tomorrow who have developed their independence, social skills, resilience and most of all their ability to ski anywhere in the world (snow permitting of course!).

Day 5 on the slopes complete. It has been a busy one! Ski time this morning to refine those skills, a visit to the glacier (which sits at a lofty 3,069m above sea level), free time in the snow during sunset, a cracking full moon then finally, a fantastic night ski! What a day!

Congratulations to all the Albany students who collected their GCSE results today. Collectively they achieved excellent results, including 18 grade 9s, with 11 students achieving at least 1 of the new top grades.
