...when meanwhile women have been doing the exact same thing for YEARS on FanFic sites (some of these women published professional authors too just like him) and not a peep. He is not unique for what he is doing. But he's getting the attention.

It's called Fan Fiction. It's very popular, often well written & let's be honest primarily written by women. But for years it's been derided, mocked and downright hated. Now a man who writes "serious fiction" does it & expects to be the exception & make money off of it? Uh, no.

Very true, but they at least filed the numbers off. This gentleman is getting Guardian articles written about how clever he is to write something using the world and Lewis voice and coming up with his own version and people insisting the estate makes an exception . . .

Guardian writers are probably mostly too out of touch to know or care that fanfic is already a thing.
