🔥 We've got some exciting news to share, folks! 🔥
We just closed our seed funding round, securing $4 Million to Accelerate Global Institutional Participation in Digital Assets
life could’ve been so different — an important decision in late oct 2020
very grateful that I ended up choosing bits pilani
ps: twist is, won’t be sitting for placements — love working in the startup ecosystem and would continue working in the same space :)
I recently got to know that BITS Pilani, Goa & Hyderabad students get direct 6 months SWE Internship at companies like Amazon, Nutanix, Uber etc. without any coding round.
Shortlisting happens on the basis of CGPA. Later many of them get PPO.
Bro! I am speechless.
#code
#tech
dsa: scored 0 in mid-semester exams, did pretty well in lab test -> got a B-
comparch: scored 0 in mid-semester exams, did pretty well in lab test -> expecting NC
“If you really want to learn, and you want to learn more quickly and more
deeply, pay attention to how you pay attention. Think about how you think.
Learn how you learn.
what is the equivalent of competitive coding for non-tech roles?
one that gives similar dopamine for solving problems
ps: i absolutely love problem solving but competitive coding does not align with my goals (can start for passion but outcome is a bit irrelevant)
cohort based learning is better in comparison to university based
similar outcome with 10% of the cost and 10% of the time
if someone wants to switch career or explore options, cohorts are the best option imo
Btw
if you get a chance
be an alumni of
@bitspilaniindia
my cousin graduated in 2022 & it's clear they have the highest amount of camaraderie that I have ever witnessed
they literally prefer to collaborate with a fellow alumni
a lot to learn from that community
just so cool
caught up with a google staff engineer and talked about ai
“i’m trying to move into management since engineers are bound to be replaced”
if a google staff engineer is not safe, you’re also not
after giving + taking several interviews — i’ve realised that the interviewer can make you feel that the interview is going pretty good even though at the back of their mind they have already made their decision of rejection
if anyone is interested in building the next generation of software, dm, we’re hiring!
we’re creating an ecosystem of digital workers (ai agents on steroids) that can autonomously work (browser-first) with each other to transform business processes in the supply chain industry
sick af but can’t opt for a make-up exam because i’ll be rewarded with a harder exam just for being sick at the wrong time (assuming the make-up exam gets approved)
does google still recruit with foobar?
a friend solved 3 questions and got an email asking to share resume with google recruitment team
ps: i also have a foobar invite :p
the entire narrative of smartness being judged by academic scores is going to change soon shifting over to skills and proof of work as the key determinants
Some of my wins in college:
- 2x GSoC (in my favorite orgs)

- Retired my parents
- 4k+ followers on X (y'all are awesome!)
Living in Bangalore means being surrounded by ambitious, driven people all aiming to build and grow. The challenge? Most relationships feel transactional, driven by give and take. True friendship, where you feel safe without strings attached, becomes rare.
i remember back when i was in school, i used to play clash of clans a lot
one time i joined a random clan, and in few months it kind of became like a family
we were quite active on whatsapp and it was so wholesome — internet friends from all over the country together
We were 5 roommates at Columbia University who started 4 startups.
We started companies or were early employees:
- Rohit M. (me) - cofounder/CEO at Stilt
- Priyank - co-founder/CTO at Stilt
- Mukund - co-founder, CTO at Dunzo - close to a $1B delivery company in India
- Rohit S.
Boy math is spending half of their monthly salary on a gadget they will never use however questioning whether they deserve this wholesome meal that costs a few bucks extra.
computer science intricacies are so interesting — somehow if I end up pursuing computer science as a career I would definitely prefer research over software development
i was telling rishita that today is the two year anniversary of me being single and she said “one more year and you will get a bachelor’s in being a bachelor”
prediction:
cohort based degrees/courses will soon outweigh a traditional degree
focused & structured learning — faster, cheaper and extremely relevant to the industry
maximising in to out time — opening up tons of opportunities and possibilities of exploring other fields
Hiring an SDE intern (GenAI)!

In August 2018, my startup was on the verge of bankruptcy. Just 2.5 years later, we crossed $1M in revenue and got acquired in a multi-million dollar transaction. All of this when we were completely bootstrapped.
