dot com | “The least awful." -- Ryan Fitzpatrick
Here's something totally bonkers: If the Colts lose to the Jaguars Sunday, the Raiders and Chargers would both get in with a tie. Literally, there would be no motivation for either team to do anything other than kneel it out 15 times each.
Tua Tagovailoa has:
One of the best offensive minds in football
Perhaps the fastest group of WRs in football
One of the 5 best left tackles in football
One of the 10 best tight ends in football
A dynamic stable of running backs
Absolutely no excuses now
Dolphins were down five starters on offense (including Achane) and three on defense, had the officials wearing Kelly Green and had the ball with a chance to tie in the fourth quarter.
Let's not act like they got boat raced here, people. Sometimes you just lose.
Don Shula was a titan. Two-time Super Bowl champion. Four-time Coach of the Year. Most regular season wins (328) and total wins (347) in NFL history. The Perfect Season. And an absolute legend in South Florida. RIP.
Dolphins are on their way to Cincinnati this morning to ensure they can actually get to Cincinnati. Hard to believe they'll have anywhere near the level of preparation needed to play at their highest level tomorrow.
Including rollover money, Dolphins are projected to have more than $120 million in salary cap space in 2020 plus at least 10 draft picks. Chris Grier doing work.
Tyreek Hill said that, on his second TD catch, he thought Tua Tagovailoa threw to the wrong spot. But when he watched the replay, Hill realized his route was wrong.
Dan Orlovsky: “The Dolphins could have potentially gotten the best quarterback ever with the fifth overall pick ... The Dolphins have championship hopes.”
Dolphins fans should root for the Steelers tonight. It will officially eliminate the Bills from the 1 seed and make Week 17 all the more meaningless for Buffalo.
It's gotta be totally deflating for Dolphins fans to see this offensive line performance despite the team using seven draft picks on the position in the last three years.
Chances are good that a deal between the Dolphins and Terron Armstead gets done, per league source familiar with the situation. There's a motivation by both sides to work something out. The medical, of course, is a significant component.
The more I think about Simms the more what he said disgusts me. Few have gotten trolled as hard by Tua Stans as me but good lord it's not real. There are real lives impacted here. Humanity dies a little more everyday in this world.
Amazon reports that Tua Tagovailoa is expected to be discharged from the hospital and will likely travel home with the team tonight. Best possible news.
Dolphins WR depth chart:
Tyreek Hill
Jaylen Waddle
Cedrick Wilson
DeVante Parker
Preston Williams
Allen Hurns
Lynn Bowden
... and we still have the draft to go
There wasn't just one reason that Cam Newton is gone. It was a combination of at least three, I'm told: Mac Jones' emergence, Newton's vaccination stance (which caused a bit of a stir behind the scenes) and Cam's uninspiring performance this summer.
McDaniel said part of the reason the fourth and 1 play was late is bc the Dolphins were first told they had a first down. When the refs notified them it was indeed fourth down, they had the wrong personnel in.
Not shown on the broadcast: Here's Jakeem Grant showing love to DeVante Parker and Mack Hollins for coming to his defense. This team is literally fighting for one another. (shot by

Friendly reminder: The Dolphins will have $160 million or so in cap space next year to go along with 12+ draft picks. That means they can sign 32 players at $5m APY each and still find 6/7 starters in the draft. They will be much, much better with even the slightest competence.
