I think this is very disingenuous. Avoid gatherings. Saying people can essentially carry on and go to the pub etc is worrying. People need to limit interactions as much as possible. Please think of vulnerable people/ptns. Very poor behaviour.

Important thing to distinguish: this is not like the weather warnings where people were told to stay indoors at all times. This is a case of scaling back interactions and cancelling big gatherings. You can still go out and about, do your grocery shop, visit the pub if it’s open.
