We have all been through the most difficult funeral week that anyone ever experienced in this parish, in my lifetime. We lost a friend, a neighbour, an excellent farmer, and am all good man. A husband, a father and son. RIP Anthony

I got my electricity bill yesterday and it's my first full bill since I installed PV solar panels. Gone from 19kw usage to 8.5kw. And it saves 2.5 litres of heating oil a day too, approx €3.75/day. About €450 saving in the 63days (2 month bill).

@yodacomplex Jesus, you are so judgemental. It took me 3 years to build my house, still Rockville for a driveway, footpaths not totally finished either. 8 years since I moved in. Isnt it great you have the money to have a ecological wonderland for a garden.

In smugglers cove with the kids. Myself and 6 yo boy are looking over the hill at a Claas harvester and a fleet of New Holland tractors with red trailers. My 10yo daughter rolls her eyes to heaven, and says angrily "do ye ever talk about anything but tractors". . No 😁

This week last year I decided to get off my hole and do a bit of exercise and try and eat a bit better. I lost 2&1/2 stone up to last December. I put on 1/2 stone due to Christmas but went out this evening again. Thanks to @CastlehavenGAA & a few close to me for keeping me going

To take stuff too. Eventually I was allowed to take timber that was heaped up, to be smashed with the 30 ton track machine bucket, and skipped. Only allowed come in on a Saturday, when one or 2 others were there, sort it out, and load by hand. I now have enough to build a house😀

Very little artificial N used on these fields, reseeded 2 years ago. Lime, P&K have allowed clover to drive the sward on. Grazed less than 2 weeks ago. Still growing great.

I've been out and about the countryside with the council for the last 10 weeks. I am surprised at the amount of good to middle-ing land, in an intensuve dairy/beef area, being left go unused (or 10 animals on 40 acres type thing).
