. @TulipProtocol launched in Feb 2021 (or smth), one of the first DeFi dApps, right after @RaydiumProtocol and Serum. They wrote Rust code before Anchor was a thing, without any of the infrastructure, support and tooling/docs we see today. They achieved $1B in TVL at one point.

Only 3 of these were solana smart contract exploits, Cashio, Cypher & Crema. Raydium was an admin wallet compromise, mango was an economic exploit, wormhole’s Ethereum side contract was drained, FTX is… FTX. Slope wallet was gross incompetence leaving seed phrases in a txt file

Leveraged staking used to be a significant driver for Solend, but FTX collapse taught me that it was dangerous. We had 2M in SOL deposits + a USDC loan against it. The SOL was borrowed by other users to leverage stake with. As SOL fell, this 2M loan was marked for liquidation.

@brian_smith_0 solana has always been English dominant due to the SF base. Thsi isn’t a feature, it’s a bug. We need more website localizations, marketing to new languages/communities. @orca_so does this best

Over the past 3 months, I've been positively surprised by the quality of the @AptosLabs team. I think i fell for the same brainwashing that they are subpar, but it's clear that this team and chain have a good shot. Just need better DeFi positioning

I'm pretty much willing to go the extra mile for anyone building DeFi on fast chains (Solana / Aptos / Sui). Just dont be a dick, and dont try to grift. I maintain my own (but so far mostly accurate) criteria to identify grifters. DeFi teams shld always feel free to reach out

I’ve gotten a surprisingly higher number of non-Solana opportunities compared to Solana ones. It’s pretty interesting why this is happening - L1 teams aggressively expanding BD but not Solana’s.
