because yesterday I had to listen to a 9 year old talk about wanting to do his homework with his incarcerated dad but knowing his mom can't afford it and I've been that kid and HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO FUCKING CRUEL TO THINK THATS OKAY?!

UGH. Why do humans insist on being the WORST to each other? Why is so many people's default, "well, my life was hard, so other people's lives should be hard, too!"? What if. . . we just had like radical compassion and WANTED TO MAKE OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES NOT AWFUL? ugh.
