@ThePlumLineGS Anyone else notice how Republicans use the word “woke” is place of either “gay”, and/or “black” in their attempt to not sound blatantly offensive?

A remarkable thing just happened in a deep red Florida county: For hours on end, teachers, parents, and kids pushed back ferociously against right wing attacks on "woke indoctrination" in their schools. Ordinary parents everywhere are saying: Enough. 1/

@xwiseguyx @ThePlumLineGS It took them a LONG time, but they finally found an insult they can use in public. But we long-time GOP watchers know what they mean, regardless of how innocent if sounds.

@xwiseguyx @ThePlumLineGS Actually I use the phrase "woke white hypocrites" because that is the image of woke people in my mind.

@xwiseguyx @ThePlumLineGS My elderly Fox-watching sister did something I'm very proud of. After seeing "woke" so much, she actually asked what it meant. I worked around with examples she'd be familiar with of how words changed in our lifetimes from being good to being insults. I started with "elite".->
