@bonhoefferchild I have attended at least a dozen weddings in the past couple of years. Every one of these women were long moved out of their parents' home. As someone who’s lived for years in countries where dowries are the norm … I can tell you first-hand that framing women like that will lead to record suicide numbers, parents enslaved by debt, abuse of women by husbands/families, and the total commodization of womanhood/sex.
