Except that it was Moscow Mitch that prevented, and is still preventing, a stimulus deal. The House actually passed multiple bills since May and was ready to compromise.

The bills the house passed were basically to bail out blue states that mismanaged funds for years-not much allocated for the actual people in need-that did nothing wrong at all.
