Ordination is not an elevation but a condescension. One is ordained not to rule but to serve. Ordination is the (often painful, often joyful) journey of learning to give one’s life away. The “higher” one goes the deeper the call to service.

@turtology Yeah, but it also gives the servant a sweet tax deduction (for which I am ever grateful) so WOMEN deserve it, too. Do not muzzle the ox while she is reaping.

@dtripp4801 Ordination is not something one *deserves* and many Anglican churches do ordain women but go on.
