Ordination is not an elevation but a condescension. One is ordained not to rule but to serve. Ordination is the (often painful, often joyful) journey of learning to give one’s life away. The “higher” one goes the deeper the call to service.

Yeah, but it also gives the servant a sweet tax deduction (for which I am ever grateful) so WOMEN deserve it, too.

Ordination is not something one *deserves* and many Anglican churches do ordain women but go on.
