While it's common to perceive Tuist as a project generator tool primarily aimed at mitigating Git conflicts, project generation is merely the foundation upon which we can construct straightforward solutions to tackle large-scale challenges.
One of our most pressing challenges was reducing build times. We have successfully addressed this issue, but we recognize the need for further investment to ensure that we can handle all the scenarios developers encounter, including caching dependencies.
Another one is collaboration. If you want to share a framework or an app for anyone to try it out and play with, there's no workflow for that built into Xcode. You have to set up intricate tooling and infrastructure.
This is still an ongoing task, but it's part of our full-speed overhaul of Tuist Cloud. Once completed, it will provide valuable insights from projects and builds to support informed decision-making.
And we plan to take it as far as providing the best suggestions to iterate on your project. GitHub has provided us with Copilot to write code, and we strive to be the copilot of Xcode projects.
