In regards to Janissaries something most people have really missed in history is the religion the jannisaries adopted towards the end of the 1400s
Jannisaries were bektashi Shia, they were a very heterodox group, bektashism has very strange beliefs
So they were not Sunni hanafi

They were a extreme mystical group with a hybrid of sufi & Shia beliefs, go & study their creed, there are many sects of Shia
Don’t try teach me about specific sects I’ve been reading about since I was 14, I’m 32 now, pretty sure I’m well versed in these heterodox groups

Understood bro, and you’re right, but in regards to the Janissaries specifically they were part of a extreme Sufi/Shia order/tariqa called bektashism
