Just heard the sad news that Bill Fotherby has passed away. Effervescent, ebullient and full of character. Back in ‘91, along with Howard Wilkinson, he certainly convinced me that

A perculiar & jubilant character in a bland, cruel world. Give the clothes on his back for our club & I don't think some quite appreciate just how pivotal a role he played in our history & success. His influence had a lasting benefit far beyond his forced departure. RIP Bill💛💙
