@tellthetroof "Always can tell" is a silly absolutism, one that doesn't really hold much weight on the issues that need to be discussed.

@tellthetroof It’s more like they are scared of the similar scent and/or sound as their abusers and some men supposedly smell or sound like the dogs’ abusers. 1/2

@tellthetroof It’s annoying when transphobes say humans and animals can always tell because they always provide an example that doesn’t have anything to do with gender and more to do with smells and sounds. And transphobes are racist and can’t tell that some ETs look human when we’re not. 2/2

@tellthetroof I mean, dogs can tell by scent mostly, which is one of the first things to change on hormones. Also, dogs don't care unless there's some trauma. So their ability to differentiate is irrelevant...

@tellthetroof Animals with gender preferences include trans people, as many can attest. Usually because of how they smell on hrt, how they sound, or how they're dressed. They can't smell your chromosomes. Any dog that's lived with my mother has developed a wariness of women lmao

@tellthetroof Seems dogs can tell. Before you cry out excitedly that they’re referring to gender. They’re conflating the term, which doesn’t help you with your trans misconceptions but Iv shown with ref [8] when they say gender they’re referring to sex.

@tellthetroof When I was a kid we had a dog who wasn't scared of anyone but my grandma. I'm fairly sure my gran was a cis woman.

@tellthetroof Saw a hilarious one yesterday where someone posted their before n after with pride, had some dude come in with the transphobia, the poster then replied with pictures of Sigourney Weaver and the transphobe didn't even realize because they actually has a fairly good resemblance lol
