20% of the time I use Figma if my idea/design isn’t super clear yet
Generally I have a picture of the design I need and I just code it
An example of this is the new video converter page I shipped
I saw some inspiration on dribbble and went to work

When I have too many ideas in the head, I use figma to look at them on the canvas.
Iterating here is easier than code.
But for few things it feels like a chore so I start off with code.

I'm following the same approach as you, but only for the landing pages. Most of my backends are designed directly in code.

Occasionally. Mostly I just try to get something working and then get it looking ok. But more and more I find it useful to design first then code.
