@GunnerDobbins nothing has ever bothered me more than just about every live action cyclops beam having fire or smoke around the aftermath, ive resorted to coping by saying its friction burns

Another weird X lore fact: Cyclops's eye beams aren’t lasers. They’re pure concussive force with no heat because his eyeballs are actually portals to an endless dimension of force called the Punch Dimension. America Chavez has visited there.

“Yeah one of the X Men's deadliest foes is Xavier's twin sister who Xavier in the womb tried to murder by wrestling her which worked and she was stillborn, but she survived as a mass of cells in a sewer wall for decades while she built herself a body.”

@XingFrog @GunnerDobbins even if its not hard confirmed as canon, the dimension of pure concussive force is funny enough that i *will* cope however possible to make it hold up

@symptomofdecay @GunnerDobbins That is generally the explanation, that the concussive force is so sudden the impact generates heat. The inverse is true for Havok's blasts

@symptomofdecay @GunnerDobbins There is an episode of TAS where cyclops both starts a fire and puts out a fire with his eye beams.
