Who is responsible for nat 5 year's papers. Are you trying to set learners up to fail? Thank you for the trauma. 2 years missed of learning then strikes. Hours of revision for what?
@sqanews
Hundreds of ยฃ's for an excellent tutor, hours of studying, days and days of past papers...only for my daughter to turn up for questions she'd never been taught or even on the curriculum ๐ก
@sqanews
Why deviate away from the Nat 5 units and strategies? Are you trying to set up our kids to fail ? All that was achieved today was a deeper, negative mindset and anxiety towards maths. Disappointing SQA
@sqanews
I hope you realise how unfair this maths exam was today, last years was 10 times easier than this years, I hope you realise and decide to lower the grade boundaries
@sqanews
Really upset young person in this house tonight. After working so hard at school, revision and private tutoring to be faced with questions that are so dissimilar to anything previously shown is so unfair. Hope marking boundaries are seriously considered.
@sqanews
In agreement with these comments. There seems to be this perception that everything is โback to normalโ. These kids have had interrupted learning their entire secondary education. Youโve made the papers harder AND changed the appeals process. Letting these kids down badly IMO.
@sqanews
Two daughters and niece devastated by paper 2 today. Theyโve all worked so hard and did not get the chance to prove what theyโve learned due to the lack of variety in the questions. More like a trig test they said. Disappointing.

@sqanews
you have just succeeded in reducing so many teenagers to tears with that Nat 5 maths paper today. The S4s missed so much of the ground work with endless covid lockdowns in S1 & S2 & no online maths teaching and have then lost weeks of school due to strikes. Disgraceful.
