Risky move, IMO. Not wild about trading Black in general, but as good as Goldschmidt has been, he’s having his toughest season of the past 4 at age 35, signed for $26m next year…
I’d want to see reasons to believe Goldschmidt would have a resurgence away from St. Louis.

Harrison's elite fastball solidifies hom at number one. As great as Wisenhunt's changeup is, the fastball is still the best pitch in baseball. So, Harrison has a higher ceiling.

I think both should be promoted instead of FA shopping—although would be open to including one of the two for Goldschmit… With the thinking that adding him would help our cause in landing Ohtani in offseason as well… need to be able to provide cover for him in our lineup

If Black hadn't changed to a cross fire delivery and a sweeping slider to start the year this comp might be much closer than most may think. Once Black switched back to his old delivery and slider he took off.

I’d say Whiz is
#1
, Harrison
#2
, Black
#3
, Roupp
#4
. If Harrison can get some control he’s easily
#1
, till then….he’s Jonathan Sanchez
@sfgiantfutures
That’s tough. Neither Black nor Whisenhunt have a solidified third pitch, but Whisenhunt has the better primary pitch of the two. I might also add Keaton Winn in there. You could pretty much order those any way and I wouldn’t be mad. Roupp is fast-climbing as well.
