Mongolia was a Chinese colony, just a Korea was first a Chinese and then a Japanese colony
Tonga was similarly a British « protectorate » like Nepal and Butan
Ethiopia may not have been formally « colonised » but it was occupied by Italy IIIRC 1939-1945
Iran was divided>>

How do you define protectorate, Nepal always had sovereignty unlike Bhutan which was British India protectorate and now an Indian Colony!

Do correct your perception towards Nepal. Learn history and speak about any comment you make . INepal is 100% sovereign since .

"a state that is controlled and protected by another," this is how Google defined protectorate, and if you don't have a definition in sharp contrast with it, then you need to correct yourself about Nepal's status in the history. Thank you!

Not quite right about Nepal. Nepal fought a war with British and lost the vast majority of its land but never was a colony. Those lost lands are in present-day India.

If Mongolia and Korea made the list because their colonial power was Asian rather than European then Hawaii should be on the list as well
