Small question for Open Source twitter: If you implement a feature or do some big and meaningful contribution to an Open Source project, should you include it under "Projects" in your CV/Resume?
If not, then where should you include it in your CV/Resume?

calling out
all my Open Source contributions in one place
I might place it
above my company experience headers ....
why?
Because company stints can only be brand name verification.
But this is real proof of work

You are right, but what about when you don't have a lot of Open Source contributions (like maybe 1-2).
Will it then be wise to have a separate section of itself?

Absolutely include it in the projects section of your resume if it was a meaningful enough contribution.

I have a Projects/Open source section in which I list my personal projects with links as well as open source contributions which I felt were significant.

You do whatever you can to make profile stronger . These are not trivial and might say to include these

Big and meaningful are fine to be added to CV. Problem is with "typo-like" fixes.

I'd just include my GitHub profile and highlight the os work there. Like a double resume.
