Article 2 (4) of the UN Charter prohibits the use of force or threat thereof. However, if Azerbaijan and Turkey can use force in violation of the international criminal law and get away with it, such rules lose their general applicability in the eyes of international agents.

It was painful to see that the international community did not care at all that basic rules of international criminal law had been violated. There have been no repercussions or consequences accordingly enforced against the perpetrators.
