To be honest.... I feel the same way about Ron Clark. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I hate that people feel that our kids need to shuck and jive to learn.

Sir. Same. I truly love that the kids have freedoms when it comes to their learning but itโs a whole lot of song and dance that takes place over there.
Iโve wanted to attend PDs just to see what going on over there on the daily.

Yes! I know they say that they have the same kids that public schools have, but they either have students that want to be there, or parents who want their kids there. Those factors alone are game changers.

Felt the same way until my dad worked for him. While I still donโt like the singing/music style while teaching black children for my personal reasons, I gotta say Ron Clark is a real one. I had to realize it tho.

And he might be. I've had teachers that went to visit his school and they loved it. But when they tried to replicate it, things didn't work. For Ron Clark, the kids want to be there or the parents want them there. There is automatic buy-in and that means a lot.

I've been doing a little e-learning assistance/time management & while they're are some great resources, the way the shy kids are chastised isn't cool. The kids are pushed to perform enthusiasm. Some really out of touch moments ruin great learning opportunities.

I get that it's a great way to get kids moving. But I don't see other groups of students doing this. But the buffoonery is real!
