@FOX4 I wonder how many of these kids had to watch their younger siblings while their "essential" parents had to work. Or, how many don't have internet access or a device. Grace over grades! We are in a pandemic people.

@reggie19061 @FOX4 I’m a teacher in Texas and my district gave out devices to any student needing one and also provided resources for internet connectivity.

@reggie19061 @FOX4 This isn’t about grades. It’s about future consequences. This will affect these children’s future &, unfortunately, many of the children not accessing the curriculum right now are the children who were already behind or just barely hanging in there. This will just widen the gap.

@GarlandTXVegan @FOX4 Kids should not fail during this time. I have my teachers perform welfare checks on their students once a week to make sure they are ok. Nothing about homework, but are you ok and do you need anything. If we can get work done, fantastic! But families are suffering right now!
