I changed my sleep duration from a little over 8 hours to 5 hours in the last six months and suddenly I can do so much more. I am productive and fresh throughout the day. Where's the catch?
Think most people have shared the opinion that this is short lived and unsustainable. And can lead to burnout, depression, dementia, hypertension, and early deaths.
All of these are good reasons to push for more daily sleep. Thanks everyone. :)
I'm muting this thread now.

Dont want to scare u but I did 3 hours for a year and half (I used to do 5-6 hours before that). I ended up with hypertension. Not sure if it was a direct connection but keep a tab on the vitals. Energy was never a problem for me, hence cutting sleep never bothered till it did.

The idea of everyone needing 8 hour sleep has been debunked many times. Also what works for “most people” doesnt work for “all people”. Everyone has their own peak productivity hours based on their circadian rhythm. Its important to identify that cycle for yourself.
