First impressions:
- way more sunny than I expected (maybe I brought it with me)
- I forgot how awesome it is to live somewhere walkeable!
- traffic’s equally bad, but Seattle is WAY smaller, so it feels less bad cuz it’s less overall time
- coffee is better in LA, fight me

So I moved to Seattle way sooner than expected, TLDR because I found a great place at a great price & wanted to jump on it.
Apologies to literally everyone that I said I’d get coffee with before I left, and then didn’t 😅 I’ll visit often, so we’ll work something out soon!

Fwiw my fav coffee here so far is Anchorhead in Bellevue, Urban Coffee Lounge in Kirkland (they serve Counter Culture beans) and Victrola.

Those are all great spots! I’ve already been to 15-20 places here, and so far my favorites are Sound & Fog (worth the drive to West Seattle!), Ghost Alley Espresso, and Overcast Coffee Co. I’ll have to check out Urban Coffee Lounge!

Raised in Seattle, live in LA, I’d say you’re more or less spot on. The Grey is coming, and it is real. But that’s the thing, it doesn’t actually rain that much in Seattle. It’s grey & it drizzles. Constant downpour it is not.

Welcome to Seattle! The PNW has my heart, but I did *just* have the slightly blasphemous thought this morning that the coffee is better in LA, so I can’t argue there. 😅

Between visiting twice & living here for a week, I’ve been to probably 20 so far? So my favorites are Sound & Fog (worth the drive!), Ghost Alley Espresso, and Overcast Coffee Co. Vivace is solid ofc, Ghost Note also stands out too, and Olympia Coffee.
