My One Philly

is big and bold. It invests $2 billion in Philadelphians across my five central pillars: Public Safety, Clean and Green, Economic Opportunity, Housing and Education.
I’m proud of the Eagles on & off the field. Our players represent the diversity of our nation—a nation where we're free to express our opinions. Disinviting them only proves the President is not a true patriot.
City Hall is always open for a celebration.
Big news for this Friday: Temple University has stepped up during this critical time. We reached an agreement to use The Liacouras Center and other Temple facilities as hospital space.

While the City of Philadelphia has not received any formal notification that federal agents will be sent here, we would use all available means to resist such an abuse of power.
President Trump said he may send “more federal law enforcement” to Philadelphia to deal with ongoing protests.
@PhillyMayor
called that kind of federal intervention both "ironic and offensive.”
Earlier today, a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper executed a car stop on the Vine Street Expressway in Philadelphia, reportedly for a Motor Vehicle Code violation. Celena Morrison, the City’s executive director of the Office of LGBT Affairs, was in the vehicle that was stopped.
Thank you,
@AlmeidaPP_
. I had a wonderful time in Madrid earlier this year. As a World Cup 2026 Host City, I'm sure there is much Philadelphia can learn from Madrid and Spain.
Dear
@PhillyMayor
, I am deeply sorry for the recent events in your city. I'm glad to hear your words about Madrid
It will be a pleasure to receive you in Madrid, talk about our cities and due to your interest in soccer, invite you to watch our "derby", if you want.
We took on the federal government and won. Today, a federal judge upheld our right to welcome immigrants regardless of their status. Philadelphia will always be a welcoming city for all.
Philadelphia is a better city because of our diversity. Immigrants, including those from El Salvador, Haiti, and African countries, make our city stronger. Calling those countries by such a vulgar name reveals a great deal about the President's character. His comments were racist
Good morning, Philadelphia!
I’m excited to embark on this incredible journey as your new Mayor!
Honored to serve and work to build a safer, cleaner, greener city with economic opportunity for all.
Check out today’s swearing-in.

“Any of you know who the biggest underdog is? It’s y’all, Philadelphia. For 52 years, y’all have been waiting for this.”
Thank you Jason and the whole team for delivering that trophy to Philly! Awesome!
I am extremely disturbed by the video of a reporter being detained while doing her job and covering one of today’s protests—and also very concerned that it may violate the law and
@PhillyPolice
policy. It will be fully investigated and addressed.
The use of blackface by someone affiliated with Froggy Carr today was abhorrent and unacceptable. This selfish, hateful behavior has no place in the Mummers, or the city itself. We must be better than this. The group was disqualified and we will be exploring additional penalties.
As a person who has lived here my entire life and loves our Eagles, this is emotional. I'm happy to be here, but want to climb over that mountain. All of us, past and present, deserve it!

No matter what happens in Washington, Philly is going to continue to believe in science and prepare for climate change. We're committed to the Paris Climate Agreement to reduce our carbon emissions 80% by 2050 and updated building codes to help us do it:
New: Starting Monday, free food is available for anyone who needs it. This is in addition to our meal sites for students only. You can pick up 1 box per household, and that will last up to five days.

In Philadelphia, we don’t praise one person or president; we celebrate our diversity and our ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all. Everyone is welcome to America’s birthplace for
@July4thPhilly
. We have fireworks, parades, entertainment, and 50+ events!
HOLD THE DATE! We will be having one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C., on July 4th. It will be called “A Salute To America” and will be held at the Lincoln Memorial. Major fireworks display, entertainment and an address by your favorite President, me!
This is not normal. Schools should be safe havens, not scenes of senseless violence. For everyone in Parkland, Florida or who has lost someone in this horrific tragedy, please know the people of Philadelphia are heartbroken for you and your families.
We are aware of the groups of armed individuals “protecting” the Columbus statue in Marconi Plaza. All vigilantism is inappropriate, and these individuals only bring more danger to themselves and the city.
Late this afternoon, the City received confirmation of roughly 30 individuals seeking asylum traveling to Philadelphia from Texas.
As a proud welcoming city, Philadelphia will greet our newly arrived neighbors with dignity and respect.
Juneteenth is an official City holiday.
This is one small but meaningful step toward repairing the damages inflicted on Black Americans throughout our country’s history.

Heartbroken to see Philly in the headlines for what — at least based on what we know now — appears to exemplify what racial discrimination looks like in 2018. Like all establishments in Philly, Starbucks should be a place where everyone is treated the same
Philly stands with Pittsburgh and all those affected by the horrific shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue. This is not normal. This is not who we are as a nation. And we cannot accept continued violence as a way of life. We stand ready to help Pittsburgh in any way we can.
Thankful for everyone who has sent along their condolences these past few days. My father was my hero. His work with the
@PhillyFireDept
inspired me to pursue a career in public service. Dad meant the world to our family. We’re really going to miss him.
A video circulating on social media that depicts a portion of the incident is very concerning to me, and I will have no further comment until the investigation has been completed.
Philly, I’m honored to serve as your Mayor as we embark on a new chapter for our city!
Thank you for welcoming me on Day One with open arms. I didn’t get here alone and I can’t do this work without you.
I’m honored that President-elect Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden chose to join us in Philadelphia on this important day of remembrance.
Thank you to all our veterans who have served to protect our freedoms.
The City will waive all protest-related code violation notices (CVNs) issued May 30-June 30. This includes disorderly conduct, failure to disperse, and curfew violations.
Demonstrators marched to bring awareness to important issues and one vital message: Black lives matter.
Masks are now mandatory in Philadelphia.
☑️Required inside public spaces and outdoors if less than 6 feet from people
☑️Limited exceptions, such as children younger than 8 and people with disabilities

Five years ago, Philadelphia became the first city to fly the transgender flag at its City Hall. Today, during the
#TransPHL
conference, we proudly continued that tradition.
We see you. We hear you. We stand with you. You are always welcome in Philadelphia.
I'm so grateful to our public servants for their hard work. It began on Sunday, then came three busy days of putting plans into action for today's wonderful parade—and continues as we clean our city and restore services!
City workers, police, and other public safety officials have been working tirelessly all week to make

Hearing the President’s remarks during tonight’s

address filled me with optimism for Philadelphia and our country’s future. I look forward to partnering with the Biden-Harris Administration to help deliver real results for our residents!

I think I can speak for all of Philadelphia when I say that we are very grateful that

All eyes were on Philadelphia today and we rose to the occasion. Our residents showed up to the polls and returned more than 350,000 mail-in ballots. Tonight, we can take pride in knowing we held a fair and secure election.

This week was one of the greatest weeks in Philadelphia history. Thank you to all the City workers who helped make this parade a huge success. I've never been more proud of our Police Department. A huge thanks to the hard working members of the Streets Department.
We're taking
@BarackObama
's pledge to address police use of force policies in Philadelphia.
We look forward to working with our community to begin this process of real change and healing.
I join mayors across the country in telling the federal government: Remove your forces from U.S. cities.
In our letter, we assert that the deployment violates constitutional protections, damages our democracy, and must be investigated.
This despicable incident reminds us what happens when our country’s leaders condone and embrace hatred, fear, and bigotry. We must do better. Keep fighting for change.
Video showing a group of high school boys, many wearing "Make America Great Again" gear, surrounding and jeering a Native American elder at the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington, is drawing widespread condemnation
Tonight at 8 p.m., Boathouse Row will light up in gold to honor and remember George Floyd. Houston Mayor

It is with great sorrow that I stand with Commissioner

In America, we sometimes have trouble remembering our history. We forget that immigrants built our beautiful country. I'm proud to congratulate the children who become U.S. citizens today — and who I know will add even more beauty to our nation.

election staff who have been working in shifts for more than 50 hours non-stop. They are diligently working to ensure every eligible Philadelphia vote is counted accurately. This is what democracy looks like.
We are also aware of an apparent assault caught on video tape, as well as possible restrictions placed on journalists filming the event. These incidents are under investigation at this time.
It’s a privilege to welcome the North American Festival of Wales back to Philadelphia for the first time in nearly 50 years, and we’re delighted to have been chosen as the host city. Welcome to Philadelphia!
Here in Philadelphia, we’re committed to meeting the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. Just signed legislation that will enter the City into a solar power purchase agreement that will help us transition to a clean energy future.
Grateful for our

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support for our officers and residents.
It's always sunny in Philadelphia! We want to thank all our players for their hard work. You have made our world perfect now because the chip is no longer on our shoulders.

Heartbroken and outraged by tonight’s news of the shooting and death of a Temple University police officer.
The City of Philadelphia joins the Temple community in mourning. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
After seeing the lack of diversity at major tech events, I wanted Philadelphia to host a high-caliber tech conference specifically for people of color. Excited to announce today that
