We talked about collaborating with Pima Country Regional Flood control district to do work to- he had already been consulting for local groups w/ watershed management. He always said he loved that work and didn't care about the money but the meaning it made (5/n)

last week we biked home together b/c we shared a bike commute and live close by. on that bike he explained non linear dynamics in air quality and emissions with Nox and NH3 and how he loved to use it as a way to describe wicked policy problems to his students (9/n)

He was part of my interview process at Arizona. He recruited me afterwards and followed up. He then got me my Hydrology affiliation as soon as I was on campus and introduced me as speaker seminar last year and we had beers after wards (7/n)

90 percent of my students wanted to stay virtual a few more weeks til omicron wave lowers which contradicts university rhetoric I’ve read indicating students are ready to go back in person… makes me wonder…did anyone ask them?!? Seems like they don’t want Covid either!

I did and it was worth the eye rolls from some White male students. Because a student who needed a safe space shared their authenticity with me and reminded me I can do more than teach remote sensing. I can be human and make space for others to feel more human (2/3)

anyone know the est. life cycle cost of producing one Planetscope sensor. want to tell my students and everything I google is vague "low cost" while Landsat is $1bn USD. how low is low cost anyone have a figure? @mouthofmorrison @iazuleta ? maybe I cant find b/c its proprietary?
