I remember asking back then why the UK was lagging behind the rest of the G7. Professor @nntaleb kindly responded: different accountants. It stuck with me. Now it’s becoming clear that it’s all just inconsistent accounting methods. Grain of salt, always.

@Omar_ghxd @nntaleb Having a small business and living in the Uk I also think there is a sizeable brexit impact. There is no catastrophic event, but it is the impact of thousands of small decisions going differently and you can see Ireland booming as it fills the gap

@Omar_ghxd @nntaleb The most notable impact I have noticed while trawling through hundreds of company reports are the labour shortages. Labour shortages are arguably the most important element of supply chains. Once the UK fills these labour shortages (mainly Brexit) then things should improve.
