It really doesn’t matter where the values come from, as long as the child gets them. It doesn’t matter whether she sees her parents together, as long as she understands herself, her love & communication styles and chooses a partner whose values and styles align.

Yes, it’s safe to assume a child who grew up in a 2 parent household, whose marriage or relationship was happy and healthy, would have the keys to building something happy and healthy themselves,

No she’s right. There has been a breadth of studies that highlight the effects of not having a father for both men and women. Fatherless women have higher level of depression and more difficulty managing intimate relationships. It can be helped with work but the difference exists
