If she heard them out and she genuinely believed they could’ve been redeemed, so she refused to kill them. We could’ve been given actual nuance and not “oh she couldn’t kill a child! Children are innocent!”
We’re always just told everything. “Oh the people in hell aren’t that bad they’re good people deep inside!” But we don’t see that! We’re shown awful person after awful person and then we’re told “oh we sung a song about friendship they’re good people except they’re not!”
We could’ve been given interesting characters! Characters that were pushed into bad paths when they were alive! We could’ve been given nuance! Even something as simple as “this character killed 12 people to save their daughter” would’ve been interesting.
Give us reason to believe these people deserve redemption! But we don’t get that. We don’t get to see the type of people these characters were when they were alive. We don’t see actual redemption arcs. We’re just told these characters are getting redeemed
And then we’re supposed to see heaven as bad but instead of delving into why they’re bad, we’re just told songs. “These people uphold the rules too strongly!” Okay then show us that? Show us exactly why that’s bad? Don’t just tell us that’s bad and expect us to accept that
Why are we supposed to believe the people in hell are capable of redemption when we all see horrible people? Way too many characters are rapists. And we’re supposed to think they don’t deserve death?
AND WHY IS THERE A CHILD IN HELL?? God Vaggie’s backstory had so much in common. You know what could’ve been interesting? If she befriended someone who did horrible things in their life but ultimately had reasons to do so.
How the fuck did warriors do a redemption story with Breezepelt better than hazbin did. How do you fuck up so badly that WARRIORS did what you couldn’t
I do think it’s funny that a couple of people who saw my thread are thinking “wow the person who made this hates fun” because I actually think critiquing media is fun? I have a lot to say and pointing out something’s flaws is actually very important to do
@mtlrosefinch
Like there is such an easy way they could of gotten away with that exactly
Like the easiest way just have the kid say that they simply weren't baptized before dying boom there ya go some easy answer for why they are there and provide moral conflict
