The event is hybrid. The speakers get to view the Zoom crowd on a projector at the back of the classroom, as an extension of the in-person audience. The audio is also fully integrated for Q&A and I think it's the next-best-thing to joining in person! 2/n

We're charging a nominal fee for online participation just to break even on costs of logistics. I do realize this is not friendly to global timezones, and we're doing this during holiday season: but I still hope that we'll manage to reach some interested participants :) 3/n

The way this came about was that @Indiaacm 's recent CSEd-themed conference, Compute, had two amazing workshops (sadly in parallel so most people had to chose), and a panel discussion on @cs_pathshala , and I happened to miss *all* of it because of clashes... 4/n

So I tentatively asked everyone involved if they'd re-do the sessions, possibly @iitgn --- and much to my delight, everyone agreed! I am thrilled to welcome Sonia Garcha, Viraj Kumar, Venkatesh Choppella, and N S Kumar to our campus, and looking forward to their talks. 5/n
