I'm very happy to be hosting
#CSEd
folks at IITGN later this month (23rd December): I am sorry this announcement is so late, but I hope you can help me spread the word!
We're doing a one-day workshop covering various topics, details at:
1/n
The event is hybrid. The speakers get to view the Zoom crowd on a projector at the back of the classroom, as an extension of the in-person audience.
The audio is also fully integrated for Q&A and I think it's the next-best-thing to joining in person!
2/n
We're charging a nominal fee for online participation just to break even on costs of logistics.
I do realize this is not friendly to global timezones, and we're doing this during holiday season: but I still hope that we'll manage to reach some interested participants :)

The way this came about was that
@Indiaacm
's recent CSEd-themed conference, Compute, had two amazing workshops (sadly in parallel so most people had to chose), and a panel discussion on
@cs_pathshala
, and I happened to miss *all* of it because of clashes...

So I tentatively asked everyone involved if they'd re-do the sessions, possibly
@iitgn
--- and much to my delight, everyone agreed!
I am thrilled to welcome Sonia Garcha, Viraj Kumar, Venkatesh Choppella, and N S Kumar to our campus, and looking forward to their talks.

Meanwhile, I'll be most grateful if you could please help me spread the word!
Also: if you would like to join virtually please go ahead and register even though the payment link isn't up yet (I expect it'll be soon) - I'll follow up separately.

@neeldhara
Looking forward to the ACM-India CS Education Workshop and sharing my thoughts on Bringing Computational Thinking to schools. The workshop has amazing speakers and is in the hybrid mode. Do join us.
